Jonny Sweeny is a Freshman at IU, and is studying computer science at this point. He enjoys computers, friends, movies, and sleeping. He thinks that the idea for high definition television will take more time and money that was planned, and will therefore be pushed back a while because of the financial constraints on the customers and stations. Jonny thought this looked cool: Wide Screen HDTV Laser Projection System
He enjoys movie production and has, in fact, produced a full length comedy already. Oliver & Lopez is 70 minutes.

Jonny made this morph from an analog to a digital Television

Jessica Schor, from New Jersey, is a freshman at Indiana University majoring in Telecommunications. An avid fan of theatre, she hopes to one day pursue a career in film production. "HDTV will not only h ave a benefit on technology, but will also improve the means of communication for the new millennium."

Justin Grider is a freshman at Indiana University. He enjoys swimming, acting, singing, and spending time with friends. He is studying telecommunications, and plans to have a career in television news. He feels that high definition television is a good idea and will eventually work, but it will take more time.

Carolyn Reisman grew up in Long Island, New York. She is a Freshman at IU majoring in Early Childhood Education. She took Telecommunications because it's an extremely interesting field. Her father has Dig ital Television via satellite in his home, and it is the coolest thing. He can see any movie he wants to, at any time, just by pressing a few buttons on the remote control! "HDTV, when developed will be very fun and exciting to have-- however, I am skepti cal that it will be fully developed by the year 2006 since the government is so demanding." Issues such as the ones discussed in our web page -- the effects that HDTV will have on government, on consumers, and on TV stations -- seem to be too numerous to truly be able to meet the 2006 deadline.

Brian Wilson is a freshman business major here at Indiana University but is originally from Indianapolis. He is a huge sports fan, especially IU football. He also enjoys learning about new technologies in the media today. "I think that HDTV will be a great change for our society, making television more selective. But like every new technology it will have its obsticles to overcome."
